OPEN level ACTING

Mondays From 6:30 - 9:30PM

Jan. 26th - Feb. 23rd, 2026

These classes are for actors of ALL levels

who have never taken classes with me before.

12 slots are available.

Know the vocabulary. Expect to learn an array of exercises, tools, techniques, and philosophies from the pioneers such as Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky, Strasberg, Adler and Meisner. Beginners will learn exactly how to go about choosing material and start working and rehearsing monologues. Continuing actors will not only be reminded of the basics, but also have a chance to refine, refresh, and learn different ways to approach materials.

Scene Study

Tuesdays  from  6:30 - 9:30PM

These classes are for continuing students who have either taken my INTRO / OPEN level acting courses or private lessons, and /or for those who have taken scene study classes before.

12 slots are available.

All the exercises, tools and techniques you’ve learned from the INTRO and OPEN classes will be put to the test by working on a scene with a partner over a six week course. I’ll be pairing students together and hand picking scenes based on what your current goals are with acting and performance.

Performance Course

& Showcase

Wednesdays from 6:30 - 9:30PM

Jan. 28th - March 27th, 2026

These classes are for continuing actors ONLY.

Actors who sign up for this course must have taken classes or have had private sessions with me before.

12 slots are available.

So much of learning what it takes to be an actor and a performer happens when you are on stage in front of an audience, and that is why I wanted to offer these kinds of classes.

Over the course of eight weeks you’ll experience what it’s like to rehearse for an actual show: working with a director, scene partners/cast-mates, tech and dress rehearsal, and the live performance. Students will work on monologues and short scenes that will showcase and challenge their acting abilities.

Professional video will be taken from both shows so students can add this footage to their acting reels.

Students MUST commit to at least six out of the eight classes.

Dress Rehearsal will take place on Thursday, March 26th from 6 - 10PM (required for students to attend).

Show dates will be Friday, March 27th.

Call Time is at 6:30PM.

Doors open at 7PM.

Show begins promptly at 7:30PM and will run for one and a half hours .

  • All group acting classes are for adults ages eighteen and up, and are held at The Bus Stop Theatre Co-Op.

Those who sign up for classes are required to have a video, phone call or in-person chat with Katrina first to talk about goals, previous experience, etc. before attending any of her classes in-person.

Katrina has performed, directed, and taught in New York City for over fifteen years, and lately you may have recognized her in a few Neptune Theatre productions.

Katrina studied acting from Rob McCaskill in New York and Sal Romeo in L.A., along with several others and has taught acting for youth and adults across the U.S. and Ireland. Katrina believes every actor is different, every project is different, and the more tools you know, the better you are able to approach the work and do your very best with it.

Let’s explore and let’s play.
